Aims of the study
- To explore the experiences of physical activity of mothers and fathers as their children move from infancy to primary school.
- To investigate whether experiences of physical activity vary between mothers and fathers during this period and if so, how.
Design
This is a qualitative study as we want to explore the experiences of physical activity of mothers and fathers. One-to-one semi-structured interview via Zoom were used. Parents of at least one child aged 7-11 years old were recruited through community clubs, primary schools and work places. Snowball recruitment was also used.
