Current work and interests
Tanya is a PhD student funded by the MRC Doctoral Training Partnership and the Elizabeth McDowell Studentship at Newnham College, Cambridge. Her supervisors are Dr Eleanor Winpenny and Dr Jean Adams. Her PhD will explore influences on adolescent diets during the transition from youth into early adulthood.
Background and experience
Tanya completed a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Reading where she became particularly interested in population health and nutrition. She then completed a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition at New York University. She worked as a research study coordinator in a range of different research projects at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge and the NIHR BioResource.
