Work and interests
Stefania was a clinical research project support assistant with the Study Coordination team, and left the Unit in October 2017.
Prior to this Stefania was a member of the Laboratory Team who worked mainly on the Fenland and EPIC Norfolk studies. Her role included the collection, processing, and cryo-storage of the blood samples, and she used the MSD Sector Imager 6000 to perform the analysis (with ECLIA) of a variety of different biomarkers in support of the Units research. She was involved in analyzing results and recording them on databases.
Background and experience
She completed her bachelors degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and masters degree in Biology Applied to Biomedicine at the University of Pisa, during which her research was focused on the regulation of cardiovascular parameters in hypertension, through stimulation of the trigeminal nerve.
