Work and interests

Paul was a Data Scientist working on the InterConnect project and on the development of DataShield. He was responsible for aiding the analysis of InterConnect’s research exemplars and developing new analytical methods and algorithms within DataShield based on sound statistical reasoning to enable a wider range of research questions to be addressed. Paul left the Unit in September 2017.

Background and experience

Prior to joining the unit Paul worked in research software positions within academia and industry in Germany and Hong Kong, whilst studying for a BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh. This is also where he most recently worked as a tutor for Computational Logic and Object Oriented Programming.
