Background and experience

Prior to joining the Study Coordination team Mayami was the coordinator for the GDARSpaces project at the MRC Epidemiology Unit. GDARSpaces aims to better understand urbanisation and climate-change (syndemic)-related NCD hazards.

Before joining the MRC Epidemiology Unit, Mayami worked as a Global Challenge Research Fund Coordinator at the University of Cambridge Research Operation Office and as a Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021) Impact Coordinator with the Department of Physics and Institute of Astronomy panel.

She holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge, specialising in the field of optoelectronics.
