Work and interests
Maxine was a PhD student in the Prevention of Diabetes and Related Metabolic Disorders programme, supervised by Dr Andrew Cooper and Professor Simon Griffin. Her research aimed to investigate associations between various lifestyle behaviours – including physical activity, sedentary and sleep behaviours, and dietary quality – and cardiovascular disease, in individuals with diabetes.
Background and experience
Prior to beginning her PhD in October 2013, Maxine completed her BSc. in Medical Biology and Master of Public Health at the University of Edinburgh.
