Laura was a research assistant for the EPIC Norfolk study, based in the Norwich Community Hospital.
Background and experience
Laura studied at the University of East Anglia where she graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences in the summer of 2013. Throughout the degree course Laura mainly focussed on undertaking modules relating to genetics, cell and molecular biology. Laura began working for the unit in January 2014 as a Research Assistant on the 4th Health Check of the EPIC Norfolk Research Study. This role was based at the Norwich Community Hospital and largely involved collecting measurements and data from EPIC Norfolk participants. On completion of the 4th Health Check phase of the study, Laura continued in her role for a time as a Research Assistant and progressed on to seeing participants as part of the 5th Health Check.
