Current work and interests

His interests include developing easy and elegant software utilising web-based technologies, e.g., JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

Josh is a software developer for MRC Epidemiology Unit working mostly on LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).

Background and experience

Josh completed his Computer Science degree in 2010 at University of the Philippines in Quezon City. Their dissertation deals with compressing and encrypting digital medical images, i.e., X-rays. He started working as a Java programmer immediately after graduation and slowly transitioned to doing full-stack software development and support.

Before joining the Unit, he worked on ontologies for EMBL-EBI (European Bioinformatics Institute) maintaining and enhancing their lookup service.
