Prevention of Diabetes and Related Metabolic Disorders in High Risk Groups and Study Coordination
Current work and interests
Jenny is the Study Coordinator for the Prevention in High Risk Groups programme’s NIHR Programme Grant on scalable behavioural weight management programmes for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes. This programme of research includes the 5 year follow up of the WRAP trial, the GLoW trial and the SWiM-C and SWiM feasibility studies.
Background and experience
Before joining the MRC Epidemiology Unit in August 2017, Jenny worked at the MRC Human Nutrition Research Unit; first as a Research Assistant in the Nutrition and Bone Health research group for 5 years and then as the Trial Manager on the WRAP trial for 3 years, then latterly as the Unit’s Volunteer Suite and Clinical Studies Research Manager.
Jenny graduated from the University of Loughborough in 2008 with a degree in Human Biology and is completing a part-time Masters in Clinical Trials at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
