Work and interests

Jasmine Morris was the programming lead within the Data Management Team at the MRC Epidemiology Unit. She was responsible for applying Web technologies to improve data gathering and processing, and for the development of tools for managing and manipulating data in order to support research activities within the Unit. Jasmine was also involved in software process improvement and investigation of new software technologies. She left the Unit in spring 2020.

Background and experience

Jasmine studied Computer Science and received her master’s degree in National Taiwan University (Taiwan). Before joining the Unit in 2013, she worked for Philips Electronics as a research scientist and for IBM as a project manager. Her expertise is in the areas of Web technologies, computer graphics, and embedded systems. She also has experience of project management and software process improvement.
