Current Research and Interests
Helen is a PhD student funded by the NIHR School of Public Health Research and is supervised by Dr Kathryn Hesketh.
Helen’s PhD will explore the optimisation of teachable moments in early parenthood and promotion of healthy behaviours in parents and their 0-2 year olds.
Background and experience
Before joining the unit, Helen attended the University of Edinburgh, where she completed a BSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences before studying a Master of Public Health (MPH). Her previous research has been centred in exploring the preconception health experiences of younger parents living in Scotland and the fertility experiences of cancer survivors of reproductive age.
