Current interest and work
Senior Study Coordination Assistant on the Diet and Eating Behaviours across Early Adulthood Transitions (DEBEAT) and on the Supporting Weight Management (SWiM) studies.
Background and experience
Before joining the MRC Epidemiology Unit in January 2025, Filly worked as a Teaching Assistant in a school, while her children were growing up.
Previous to that, she held positions of Research Assistant and a Principal Project Assistant at a global contract research organisation (PPD Inc.), providing support on numerous oncology drug trials.
From 1999-2003, Filly worked as a Laboratory Analyst, at the MRC Human Nutrition Research Unit in the Micronutrient Status Research Group, under Dr Chris Bates. Also assisting on the NDNS adult survey, both in the lab and with administrative support.
Filly graduated from Nottingham University in 1998 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture and Food Science, specialising in Human Nutrition.
