Current work and interests

Douglas is a Research Study Assistant for the Fenland 3 study based in Ely. He has a range of interests within public health and fitness, with specific personal investment in athletic training and performance.

Background and experience

In 2022 Douglas obtained his Bachelor’s in Medical Biochemistry from Swansea University, and followed this with a Master’s by Research (MRes) in Cancer Biology which he is currently completing with a thesis title ‘Investigating the role of ferroptosis in tuberous sclerosis complex disease’. The aim of the research to contribute to the knowledge of a rare and particularly fatal disease.
