Work and interests
Debora was Head of Laboratory, and left the Unit in December 2018.
Background and experience
Debora studied Chemistry at the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and completed her PhD studies in 2006 at the EMBL (University of Heidelberg). Her research was focused on DNA regulatory enzymes and she furthered this interest during post-doctoral work at CRUK. In 2009 she joined Oxford Nanopore Technologies where she worked as a Research Scientist developing new DNA sequencing technologies.
She joined the Laboratory team at the MRC-Epidemiology Unit in 2013.
