Work and interests
Beth was a study coordinator for the FRESH and CASE studies, and a member of the Study Coordination team.
Beth has always had an interest in public health and disease. After gaining her BSc (Hons) in Microbiology and Zoology from Aberystwyth University in 1999 she worked for the Public Health Laboratory Service (now Health Protection Agency) and the National Institute of Biological Standards and Control.
Background and experience
She moved into education in 2006 following completion of a PGCE in Secondary Science at Cambridge University. She then spent 11 years working for Cambridgeshire County Council with a focus on supporting and enabling access to education. She worked in various roles communicating with young people, their families and schools across Cambridgeshire.
She welcomed the opportunity to return to science, and in April 2017 joined the MRC Epidemiology Unit as a Study Coordinator.
