Work and interests
Bente was a Visiting Researcher with the Physical Activity Epidemiology programme from January until June 2015. At home in Norway she is an Associate Professor and Research Scientist at UiT The Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø. Bente has a PhD in epidemiology and a Masters degree in exercise physiology. Her main research interests are physical activity and health and physical activity epidemiology, mainly in adults and elderly.
Bente is currently principal investigator for the physical activity measurements project in the upcoming 7th Tromso Study. She holds a postdoc position on physical activity and cardiovascular health and is involved in several projects on physical activity and health outcomes, including CVD, osteoporosis, COPD, and physical activity epidemiology in Northern Norway.
