Work and interests
Ben was a PhD student supervised by Dr John Perry. His research will focus on the genetics of growth, puberty and reproductive ageing and their relation to disease outcomes in later life. He completed his PhD and left the unit in October 2019.
Background and experience
Prior to joining the MRC Epidemiology Unit, Ben completed his Master’s in Epidemiology at Imperial College London. His dissertation looked at the genetics of obesity and how this relates to the risk of developing metabolic disease. He has also obtained Bachelor’s degrees in Physiology from McGill University and in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Exeter.
