Work and interests

Alison joined the Epidemiology Department in 2006 as a HR Advisor and was part of the Business Team before leaving the Unit in December 2014. Her role within the Epidemiology Department was to give advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on a range of policies and procedures, and she also managed all recruitment within the Department.

Background and experience

Alison studied Human Resource Management at postgraduate level, gaining her CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualification in 1996 and is also a member of the CIPD.

Alison has over 20 years’ experience of working within human resource management in both the private and public sectors and has worked for corporate giants such as HSBC, Dowty Group and Eagle Star Insurance through to Local Government.
