Public Health England (PHE) has today published the National Diet and Nutrition Survey. Assessment of salt intake from urinary sodium in adults (aged 19 to 64 years) in England, 2018/19.

This assessment was undertaken as part of the rolling UK National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS) survey, and carried out by NatCen Social Research (NatCen) and the Nutrition, Diet and Lifestyle research theme of the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (referred to as Cambridge BRC NDNS team in the report).
The survey was led in Cambridge by the NIHR BRC Dietary Assessment Platform and the NIHR BRC Nutritional Biomarker Laboratory, hosted at the Medical Research Council Epidemiology Unit at the University of Cambridge.
