Work and interests
Lucy joined the Unit in November 2017 as a Research Assistant with the Laboratory Team.
Lucy was a member of the laboratory pipelines team for the unit and supported DNA extraction, biomarker measurement and genotyping of samples from the Fenland, NSHD and EPIC-Norfolk studies.
Background and experience
Lucy gained her BSc (Hons) in Biology with French from the University of St Andrews in 2011. She has worked as a member of the specialist assay laboratory group at the Clinical Trial Service Unit, University of Oxford, on biomarker measurement of samples for large-scale randomised controlled trials. Her main project was the introduction of a beta-quantification method to the laboratory to support a substudy of the REVEAL trial.
