Work and interests
Saman was a visiting PhD student within the Nutritional Epidemiology programme. She is a recipient of Doc.Mobility fellowship from Swiss National Foundation. Her project will investigate associations of dietary consumption with health status of the liver by conducting epidemiological analysis of datasets from two population-based cohorts in the United Kingdom (Fenland Study) and Switzerland (CoLaus study), supervised by Dr Nita Forouhi and Dr Imaruma Fumiaki.
Background and experience
Saman is a Ph.D. student in Life Science at the Lausanne University Hospital, along with the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+). Prior to joining the MRC Epidemiology Unit, her project mainly focused on undernutrition prevalence and its determinants among hospitalized patients.
