Nutritional Biomarker Laboratory

Current work and interests

Tabasum’s role in the Nutritional Biomarker Laboratory includes the analysis of samples for the UK National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS) and other studies, for internal and external collaborators, for a range of nutritional biomarkers.

Background and experience

Tabasum has more than thirty years of experience at various levels in India and Saudi Arabia. Before joining the Unit she spent more than nine years as an analyst at the MRC Elsie Widdowson Laboratory (named MRC Human Nutrition Research until 2016) in Cambridge, performing the analysis of nutritional biomarkers for the NDNS and other projects.
