Current work and interests

In May 2023, Stef took up the role of Site Coordinator in the Field Epidemiology team and works as part of a multidisciplinary team involved in data collection across many different measurements including physical activity, ultrasound, DEXA and anthropometry.

Background and experience

Stef graduated with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Essex in 2007 and started working at the Unit in January 2008 as a physical activity technician. In this role in the Physical Activity Technical team, Stef was involved in working with physical activity monitors and data pre-processing for the Unit’s studies and collaborations. In August 2009, Stef became a research assistant for physical activity working with both the Physical Activity Measurement team in the Nutrition Measurement Platform and Field Epidemiology team. In this role she collected physical activity data and monitored the physical activity measuring equipment in the testing sites.
