Senior Research Associate
Early Life Aetiology and Mechanisms of Diabetes and Related Metabolic Disorders
Current work and interests
Felix is a Senior Research Associate at the MRC Epidemiology Unit. After studying Human Sciences in Oxford, Felix trained for an MSc in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygenie and Tropical Medicine.
Background and experience
Felix has studied for a PhD at the MRC Epidemiology Unit, focusing on the genetics of obesity and related disorders. This has included working on genome-wide association studies for BMI and other anthropometric phenotypes, as well as using identified genetic variants to try to understand patterns of causality in metabolic disorders.
Felix’s postdoctoral research is centred on understanding the genetics of puberty and reproductive aging, as well as investigating how these relate to later life outcomes.
