Current work and interests

Alex is a Database Specialist with the Unit’s Data Management team.

Background and experience

Alex was a Laboratory Technician with the Unit’s laboratory team. As a member of the laboratory team, Alex’s role involved the management of millions of study samples ensuring any samples are prepped and available for biomarker measurement, DNA extraction and genotyping.

Alex gained his BSc (Hons) in Biology from the University of Gloucestershire in 2015. Following this, Alex acquired an MSc in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Bath in 2017, during which he specialised in infectious diseases and epidemiology.
