Work and interests
Jean Strelitz was an MRC Postdoctoral Fellow currently working with the ADDITION trial cohort study to investigate the role of healthy lifestyle and behaviour changes to reduce long-term cardiovascular comorbidities among adults with type 2 diabetes. She left the Unit in January 2022.
Background and experience
Jean received her PhD in Epidemiology (2018) from the University of North Carolina Gilling’s School of Global Public Health. Her doctoral research focused on coronary heart disease among workers involved in the clean-up of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Jean also holds an MSPH in Epidemiology (2013) from the University of North Carolina Gilling’s School of Global Public Health and a BSc in Human Biology (2010) from the University of California, San Diego.
